AMSET presents Rob Clark: "Finding Light - Works on Paper" on view October 30, 2014 through January 18, 2015 in AMSET's Cafe Arts.
Much of Rob Clark’s work from the years has been derived by exploring paper as the light source with a carving away process to permit the light to define the work. This includes works in ink, pencil and water color which are included in this show. Most of the work is figurative and consistently part a story connection: mentor, family, friend, and ten second interactions on the street……sometimes the story is obvious while others are private. Clark’s grandfather was a pastor and story teller. His gifts are passed on through these drawings and their stories. It is spiritual to tell the story accompanying a drawing.
Finding Light - Works on Paper is part of AMSET’s continued mission to feature local artists in Café Arts. The exhibition is open for viewing during regular museum hours: Monday through Friday: 9 am - 5 pm; Saturday: 10 am - 5 pm; Sunday: noon - 5 pm. Two Magnolia’s serves lunch in Café Arts from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday. For more information, contact AMSET at (409) 832-3432 or visit www.amset.org.
