Children and their families are invited to create animals of every shape using fabric, wire, clay, paint and feathers after discovering Mark Messersmith’s painted constructions of the flora and fauna of Florida and Helen Altman’s artwork using unconventional artist’s materials. Children will be able to explore these two exhibits and replicate similar styles through several art activities including miniature shadow boxes, tissue paper flowers and tree paintings on paper. Rounding out the fun is a presentation of Wild Reptiles at noon by Gator Country Alligator Wildlife Park. As always, refreshments, face painting and entertainment will round out a wonderful event. The event is free and open to the public.
