Uncover innovative uses for aluminum foil, clothes pins, glitter and paint when AMSET takes children and their families on a stimulating art adventure with "Recycled/Reinvented" Family Arts Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 13. This free event will show Southeast Texans how to use recycled materials to create novel works of art. Using discarded wood and fabric scraps, buttons, sequins and ribbons to create two and three-dimensional works of art, children will have the opportunity to be creative in constructing unique masterpieces to take home. Adding to the enjoyment is face painting, lively entertainment and refreshments. As always, Family Arts Day is FREE and open to the public. For more information, call (409) 832-3432.
