Holiday Tree Lighting

  • 06 Dec 2012
  • 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
  • 500 Main Street grounds, downtown Beaumont

Time is quickly approaching for our annual Holiday Tree Lighting.  This year’s workshop will be held beginning at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, December 6 on the grounds of the Art Museum of Southeast Texas and Texas Energy Museum.

Children and their families are invited to create ornaments for the Downtown Museums’ Holiday Tree and to take home.  Santa will reserve that date to meet children.  The United States Postal Service will be on hand to help children mail their letters to Santa at the North Pole.

As an added bonus this year, children are invited to join the Beaumont Rotary Club for a special art project.  Children will have the opportunity to paint a ceramic tile that will later be displayed as a part of the Rotary’s Centennial Park Project at the proposed site of the Beaumont Children’s Museum.

As always, there will be plenty of arts and crafts to enjoy, all before the tree is lit at 5:00 p.m.
